The Threat to Our Communities
In the face of devastating recent ICE immigration crackdowns, our Hmong families and small businesses are under attack. These aggressive raids seek to fracture our neighborhoods, separate loved ones, and instill fear. But we will not be broken. Interwoven: A Tapestry of Resilience & Resistance is our collective response by Hmong artists—a vital community benefit concert uniting us in solidarity, healing, and fierce action against anti-immigrant and racist forces.
Artists at the Vanguard
Our artists are at the vanguard of this movement. Through their creative expression, they provide the voice and power necessary to resist oppressive forces and support those affected in Minnesota’s Hmong community. They stand on the frontlines to counter harmful, racist rhetoric with powerful, authentic narratives drawn straight from the roots of our own communities. When we gather to witness their art, we do more than listen—we create a shared space for cultural pride, healing, and collective care.
The Fundraiser: Rebuilding and Protecting
This is more than a concert. We are urgently raising funds to provide immediate relief and long-term strength to those impacted by detention and deportation. Your financial support will directly benefit:
-
Impacted Families & Small Businesses: Direct financial aid to stabilize urgent needs, including legal defense costs, rental assistance, utilities, and mutual aid—specifically for households that have lost a primary financial provider.
-
Minnesota 8 (MN8): Critical organizational support for the MN8 nonprofit, which is providing extensive legal assistance, emergency aid coordination, and stabilization services for impacted individuals and families.
-
Grassroots Advocacy: Support for the Hmong Response Group, a vital, volunteer-led effort providing culturally specific educational resources and outreach regarding immigration enforcement.
Take Action: Attend & Donate
Your presence matters. Your voice matters. Your contribution matters.
We strongly encourage you to buy a ticket to attend the event AND make a direct donation to the fundraiser. Help us achieve our goal of raising $30,000.
Please note: A ticket purchase covers the cost of admission to the benefit concert. If you wish to make a critical, tax-deductible contribution to our impacted families and partner organizations, please use the donation links below.
Interwoven affirms that no one stands alone. When we gather, we generate more than funds; we generate courage, visibility, and collective strength.
Attend. Donate. Share. Stand with our community.
Together, we weave.
Together, we resist.
Together, we rise.
This is more than a concert.
It is a call to action, a reminder that our stories are interwoven.

About
Interwoven
The Collectivity
Interwoven: A Tapestry of Resilience & Resistance is a volunteer-led collective of community members who have come together to contribute their time, skills, and networks to produce this benefit concert. The committee represents a cross-section of the Hmong community, including community organizers, nonprofit leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, students, and working-class professionals.
While the event is not housed under a single organization, it is supported andaffiliated with trusted community partners such as Aeda. This collaborative, grassrootsstructure reflects the collective responsibility and solidarity at the heart of this initiative.

Fundraising
About the Donation
This benefit concert is designed to create both immediate relief and long-term community strength. Donation will provide direct financial support to families impacted by immigration raids, particularly those who have lost a primary income provider due to detention or deportation. Strengthen Hmong-led organizations currently delivering legal aid, emergency assistance, and culturally specific support. Expand access to educational resources that inform and protect the Hmong community. Create a shared space for healing through art, where artists use their creative work as a catalyst for awareness, solidarity, and social change. Reinforce collective responsibility by bringing community members together to support and protect one another.

Funds Distribution
Direct Aid to Individuals and Families:
Through this benefit concert, we selected five families who have been directly impacted by immigration raids to receive direct financial support. These funds are intended to help stabilize urgent needs, including legal defense costs, rent, utilities, and other essential household expenses. We recognize that every family’s situation is different, and we honor their autonomy in deciding how the funds are best used.
In addition to organizational support, we will donate to the families who have been directly impacted by detention or deportation particularly households where the detained individual was a primary financial provider.
Funds allocated for direct aid may assist with:
*Legal defense costs
*Rental assistance
*Utilities and essential household bills
*Mutual aid and urgent stabilization needs
*Families will retain autonomy in determining how best to use the support based on their most immediate circumstances.
Organizational Support:
MN8 https://minnesota8.org/
After reviewing multiple organizations, MN8 was selected because it provides the broadest range of aid services and serves a significant number of Hmong individuals and families in need of legal assistance. Funds directed to MN8 will support legal defense, emergency aid coordination and stabilization services for impacted families.
Volunteer response and relief Community organizers:
The Hmong Response Group is currently one of the only Hmong-led community organizing efforts providing culturally specific educational resources and outreach to the Hmong community regarding immigration enforcement. A portion of funds will support their ongoing educational initiatives, culturally accessible resources to families and sustainable advocacy work.
